UTAH CHILD SUPPORT CALCULATOR

HELP

Previously Ordered Alimony That is Actually Paid

If either parent of the children for whom child support is being awarded is under an existing order to pay alimony and is actually paying the alimony, then enter that monthly alimony payment on this line. Do not enter alimony that a parent is paying to the other parent of these children.

For example, suppose Jane Doe and John Doe have a child together and Jane is awarded custody of the child. John was previously married to Mary and was ordered to pay her $200.00 per month permanent alimony in his prior divorce and is actually paying that amount each month. John can include $200.00 on this line to determine his child support obligation to Jane.

However, assume that the judge has also ordered that John pay Jane $300.00 per month alimony. John may not also include that $300.00 on this line.
